Hi, I’m Melecia Senior-Brown, founder of Cornerstone Physics.
I’m a Head of Science, GCSE and A Level Physics teacher, and GCSE Physics examiner with over 10 years of teaching experience
Throughout my career, I’ve seen that many students aren’t held back by a lack of ability. They’re held back because they repeatedly make the same misconceptions and exam errors without realising it.
Over the years, I’ve analysed GCSE Physics examiner reports to identify the misconceptions, calculation errors and exam technique weaknesses that appear year after year. By helping my students recognise and address these patterns, I’ve seen them develop a deeper understanding of Physics, build confidence and improve their exam performance.
That’s why I created this guide—to help more students identify these common pitfalls and make their revision more focused and effective.
If you’re looking for ongoing support, I also run small-group GCSE Physics classes, with a maximum of eight students per class, all personally taught by me. Throughout the year, I provide exam-focused resources and masterclasses to help students deepen their understanding and approach their exams with confidence.
