I’m a Physics teacher, Head of Science and examiner with over 10 years of teaching experience. I’ve helped students build their confidence in Physics, strengthen their understanding and turn what they know into marks.

Maths skills make up a significant part of GCSE Physics — around 30% of the marks on the Higher Tier papers. Yet one thing I see repeatedly, both as a teacher and examiner, is students understanding the Physics but still losing marks on calculations.
